Lash Lift and Brow Lamination Aftercare

Lash lifts & brow laminations are amazing, there’s no doubt about that.  I have seen the dramatic changes that come from lifting someone’s lashes to new heights, but how can you make these glorious results last longer?  On average, they last for the duration of the hair growth cycle, roughly 6-8 weeks, but sometimes these are affected by YOUR activities immediately after the treatment. I will be going through the proper aftercare procedures for lash lifts / brow laminations to help you better understand the importance.  I guarantee that the beautiful results will last much longer when following these simple steps.

FIRST 24-48 HOURS

Okay, I’ve finished lifting your lashes / brows.  I’m in love with the results, you are in love with the results, and everyone is super ecstatic!  Now what?  Well, you need to understand that YOU have a minor responsibility to care for your lashes / brows.

Avoid water.  Water is the source of life, except for LL / BL.  For the first 24-48 hours avoid getting them wet as this may relax the lift / lamination.  The lashes / brows need some time to settle into place and really take on the permanent lift look, which water can affect this process.  After 24-48 hours you can swim, wash your whole face, go skydiving, whatever you prefer and your L / B will continue flying high!

Say “No” to steam.  Steam from the sauna, hot tub, jacuzzi, or even that blazing hot shower we all love can also relax the LL / BL.  Similar to above, during the first 24-48 hours the L / B are still settling in and getting comfortable.  Too much steam can make them uncomfortable and the LL / BL will drop, putting the amazing LL / BL back to what it was.  Nobody wants that.

Be careful with how you sleep.  I know, this may sound creepy, but it’s a great piece of advice.  For all the “face sleepers” out there, you will need to sleep, or try your best to sleep, on your back for the first night or two.  This is because the hairs, again, are still setting, which means they are still somewhat formable and can change shape/direction.  If you sleep on your face, this will push the hairs around and when they wake up, well, the hairs might have taken on a funny angle.

Nourish those lashes & brows.  The L / B have just gone through a process to change their natural direction and shape.  Think of it as if they went to the gym for a workout to look better.  They definitely look better, but like after the gym, everyone is going to be a bit thirsty after their workout.  So, keep them nourished with your castor oil.

AFTER 48 HOURS

After the first 48 hours, you can go back to your normal life swimming, surfing, skydiving, horseback riding, you name it.  Do whatever you want to do and your hairs will stay with you as your trusty companion.

You can wear makeup, mascara (NOT waterproof), eye shadow, anything they want!  You can even get lash extensions after 48 hours if they want, but I don’t think you will need to, because your lashes / brows are already looking DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. Book your lift and/or lamination here.
